30' Full Turbine Pump Rebuild
Background and Diagnosis
The customer had multiple failed repairs (from other repair facilities) of a critical 30' turbine pump. They reached out to South East Texas Pumps after learning about our comprehensive Full Pump Repair Process to get a reliable diagnosis and repair.
Our Solution
Using our Full Pump Repair Process, we found the true root causes of the pump issues and provided a highly competitive quote. Our scope included new stuffing box design and full repair of a damaged impeller instead of buying a new one. The repairs were done on-time for a delighted and happy customer.

Containment Tank Fabrication
Background and Diagnosis
A local distillery required a durable, compliant solution for safely storing and containing hazardous liquids in IBC totes.
Our Solution
We designed and fabricated custom steel containment tanks with reinforced welds and a corrosion-resistant finish to provide reliable secondary containment and meet environmental safety regulations. The distillery gained a robust, long-lasting containment system that ensures compliance, enhances safety, and integrates seamlessly into their facility operations.

Improved OEM Part Replacement
Background and Diagnosis
An OEM supplied part didn’t quite fit an automation robot. The customer had an idea for a solution, but there were concerns about whether it would work. We visited the customer site to understand their concerns and generate CAD files for a custom fix. However, visualizing how the part would function from CAD alone was challenging.
Our Solution
So we used a 3D printer to create a prototype overnight and returned to the customer site the next day to test it directly on the robot. This hands-on approach allowed both the customer and our engineers to refine the design and address challenges at no additional cost. The final metal-machined part was already validated before production, leading to significant cost savings and a streamlined implementation process.

Replacement Graphite Seal
Background and Diagnosis
Graphite seal for a mixer on a distillery tank was broken and no OEM drawings available
Our Solution
Reverse engineer, design, and fabricate new replacement seal

Fan Hub Replacement
Background and Diagnosis
A fan hub broke on a critical piece of equipment and the customer needed a replacement ASAP to restart operations.
Our Solution
We machined a replacement fan hub per original specifications and got the customer back in operation.

Emergency Replacement Shaft Fabrication
Background and Diagnosis
One of our key client's production line went down recently — a costly problem with a long OEM lead time for a replacement shaft. They called us. We fabricated a replacement in under 24 hours, only for the client maintenance team to discover that the OEM drawing was flawed.
Our Solution
Our team didn't stop there. We went on-site after hours, and worked alongside their maintenance crew to modify and install the new shaft. They were back up and running that same night.

Coupling Defect and Failure Prevention
Background and Diagnosis
A customer experienced a critical equipment issue when a coupling, which appeared ordinary at first glance, developed a hidden crack. The defect wasn’t the result of poor design but rather a workmanship flaw that had slipped past inspection during the original fabrication. This small oversight led to major consequences, including unexpected downtime, costly emergency repairs, and increased safety risks for the operators.
Our Solution
At Southeast Texas Pumps, we understand that quality control is never optional. Every component fabricated in our shop undergoes strict inspection and verification processes to ensure reliability and safety in the field. By applying rigid quality checks, we prevent defects like these from ever leaving our facility. Our commitment is simple: eliminate hidden risks before they become costly failures.

Background and Diagnosis
A municipal government utility faced an urgent need to rebuild a critical pump. They were looking for a reliable repair company to eliminate repeat issues with the same pump.
Our Solution
Southeast Texas Pumps rapidly diagnosed the real root cause missed by others. We reverse-engineered and fabricated all necessary components to meet or exceed the original manufacturer’s specifications. By leveraging our in-house machining capabilities, we completed the rebuild with precision and speed—saving the client substantial costs compared to purchasing a new pump while ensuring reliable, long-term performance.

Full Pump Rebuild

Wait, No... It Broke Now?
Background and Diagnosis
Just before Thanksgiving, one of our valued customers faced a belt problem that needed urgent attention. A belt pulley broke, jeopardizing his 24/7 operation. Opting for OEM parts was impractical due to the extended delivery time.
Our Solution
Understanding the urgency, we collaborated with his maintenance team to upgrade the pulley from aluminum to stainless steel. Once the customer approved the drawing, we promptly machined the upgraded 316-grade replacement pulley in under 24 hours.
Our rapid response ensured our customer was back up and running before Thanksgiving dinner was served.

Repair Misaligned Pump
Background and Diagnosis
Pump was frequently in the shop for repairs causing downtime and costs.
Our Solution
From a thorough check of the “as-found” condition prior to pulling the pump, our experts identified the root cause as the Distance Between Shaft Ends (DBSE) being out of specification. We implemented the repair to restore the pump to original performance and eliminated the frequent and costly repairs.

Replacement Sleeve Fabrication
Background and Diagnosis
Pump sleeves deviated from design specifications and were impacting pump performance due to wear marks where the seal rubbed into them.
Our Solution
We fabricated new sleeves per original design to restore pump operation to design

Impeller Ring Replacement
Background and Diagnosis
Customer wanted to replace impeller rings due to erosion, wear and also wanted new impeller case rings. This repair also included new sleeves for the shaft.
Our Solution
We machined impeller down a quarter of an inch on the OD of the impeller installed new impeller rings quarter of an inch thick and machined to the correct ID for the case rings.

Emergency Bearing Replacement
Background and Diagnosis
A customer urgently reached out in need of emergency support to remove failing ball bearings and install new replacements. The equipment failure had the potential to cause costly downtime and interruptions to their operations, making speed and reliability critical.
Our Solution
Southeast Texas Pumps responded immediately to handle the emergency with precision and efficiency. Within less than 24 hours, we successfully removed the damaged bearings and installed new ones, getting the customer back up and running without extended delays.

Seal Adapter Design for Pump Conversion
Background and Diagnosis
A customer ordered a new pump configured with packing instead of the preferred mechanical seal package. Upon review, it was determined that converting the pump to accommodate a mechanical seal using factory parts would result in a lead time three times longer than expected, significantly delaying operations and increasing costs.
Our Solution
Southeast Texas Pumps engineered a custom seal adapter and machined the existing stuffing box to fit the new design. This approach not only reduced the turnaround time dramatically but also delivered a more efficient and reliable sealing solution than the factory’s original offering. The customer benefited from a faster, cost-effective upgrade without compromising performance.
